The Promises of God
I am delighted to share a little glimpse into a project that has been quietly unfolding behind the scenes over the past several months.
This year's calendar collection is centred around the beautiful theme of Adonai's Promises.
The collection will feature 14 original fine art paintings, each inspired by a different promise from Adonai. Once completed, these artworks will be available in several formats, including:
The 16 month 2026-2027 calendar
The 12 month 2027 calendar
Fine art prints
Digital downloads
Display cards
It has certainly been an interesting few months!
Although I began painting the collection in January and am now nearing completion, the project actually started much earlier. The planning, studying, designing, and praying over each piece began back in October last year. My desire was to thoughtfully explore how to visually express the faithfulness and promises of Adonai in a meaningful and beautiful way.
It has been such a wonderful subject to delve into. Spending time studying Scripture, reflecting on God's character, and considering how His promises have sustained His people throughout history and continues to do so has been both inspiring and encouraging.
Alongside this creative journey, life at home has been rather eventful too! We are currently in the middle of a much-needed renovation and extension project to our home. As you can imagine, things are a little chaotic at the moment.
Our lounge is currently serving as our kitchen, dining room, and living room all in one and my son has very kindly allowed me to borrow his desk so I can continue painting! It may not be the most peaceful studio environment, with the sounds of drills, hammering, and builders coming and going throughout the day, but Adonai has been incredibly faithful and is carrying us through every step.
In the midst of the disruption, there has also been much to be thankful for. One of the things I am most excited about is that, once the renovation is complete, I will finally have a dedicated workspace for my creative work! Yay! (Thanks to hubby for sacrificing his garage/man space!) :)
No more transforming the dining table from breakfast table, to painting station, to Jesmonite workshop, and back again! No more storing stock in an unused, half-stripped ensuite! Having a dedicated space for creating, packing orders, storing stock, and developing new ideas will be such a blessing for me, my family and for the business.
I am incredibly excited to share this new collection with you, my hope is that each artwork serves as a reminder of the goodness, faithfulness, and unchanging promises of God.
