Promises of God — Adonai's Protection
Inspired by Psalm 121
“The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.” — Psalm 121:8
Protection of Adonai is a reminder that God's promise to watch over and protect those who trust in Him is a promise He keeps.
The painting depicts David facing the mighty Goliath, standing before a giant far greater than himself. Yet behind David, the heavenly hosts stand ready, fighting the battle on his behalf. David's strength was not found in his own power or might, but in his unwavering faith that God was with him.
David knew that the battle ultimately belonged to Adonai. Because he trusted God, he did not allow fear to overcome him. His faith gave him the courage to face what seemed impossible, knowing that nothing is impossible when God is on our side.
The painting reminds us that we too will face giants and enemies in our lives, but we do not have to fight every battle in our own strength. When we trust Adonai, He goes before us, stands beside us, and fights for us.
This painting invites us to lay down our fear and place our faith in the One above, knowing that He is in control and that His protection never fails.
The battle belongs to Him. Our strength is found in Him. And those who trust in Adonai need not fear.
