Promises of God — Turning Mourning to Joy
Inspired by Isaiah 61:1–3
“To comfort all who mourn… to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness.”
Turning Mourning to Joy captures the quiet hope of a heart that is walking through sorrow while holding onto the promise of Yeshua.
The woman is going through a time of mourning and the weight of life's deepest trials with a tear falling down her face. Yet her gaze is not without hope. Reflected within her eye is the image of Yeshua—a beautiful reminder that even in the darkest seasons, He is with us, and His promises remain faithful.
Her circumstances have not yet changed, but her heart is anchored in the One who transforms ashes into beauty and mourning into joy. She knows that the joy of Yeshua is coming, and she waits with steadfast hope.
He will turn mourning into joy.
This painting is a reminder that no season of sorrow is beyond God's redemption, and that in Yeshua, hope shines even through tears.
