Promises of God — The Righteous Branch
Inspired by Jeremiah 23:5–6
“I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.” — Jeremiah 23:5
The Righteous Branch is a powerful reminder of Adonai's promise to bring the Messiah through the line of David—the King of Kings who would fulfil His promise of redemption.
The painting depicts King David on the left, merging into the face of Yeshua, with the Lion of Judah standing between them, facing outward as Yeshua does. The imagery connects the promise given through David's royal line with its fulfilment in the coming Messiah.
The tree branches represent the 'righteous Branch' who will reign with righteousness and justice. Through Him, Adonai's promise of redemption is fulfilled, bringing hope to His people with righteousness and truth.
This painting invites us to look upon the promise that began with David and see its fulfilment in Yeshua—the promised King, the Root of Jesse, and the Lion of Judah.
The promise came through David. The Branch has come. And the King of Kings will reign in righteousness.
