Happy Passover to you all!

Passover seder

As we step into this beautiful season of Passover, we want to take a moment to say Chag Pesach Sameach – Happy Passover!

What an incredible time it has been, preparing together, gathering as a congregation (Red Hill, Stratford Upon Avon), and celebrating this most meaningful feast.

Passover is often called “The Feast of Freedom,” and rightly so. It commemorates the miraculous deliverance of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, when God, with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, set His people free. But Passover is not only about a historical event—it’s a living picture of redemption that continues to speak to us today.

For those of us who follow Yeshua, the Passover takes on even deeper significance. Yeshua is revealed throughout the entire meal—from the matzah (unleavened bread), pierced and striped, reminding us of His body, to the cup of redemption, which He lifted and said, “This is My blood of the covenant, poured out for many.” (Matthew 26:28)

Here are just a few beautiful ways we see Yeshua in the Passover celebration:

  • The Lamb: Just as the blood of the lamb protected the Israelites from judgment, Yeshua is our perfect Passover Lamb, whose blood brings us eternal redemption.

  • The Afikomen: The hidden piece of matzah that is broken, wrapped, hidden, and brought back later in the meal—it beautifully symbolises Yeshua’s death, burial, and resurrection.

  • The Four Cups: Especially the Cup of Redemption, which He identified with His own sacrifice, sealing our freedom not just from physical slavery, but from sin and death.

As a congregation, gathering for our Passover meal this year was nothing short of precious. The joy of preparing, decorating, cooking, and diving deep into the story together was filled with laughter, love, and a sense of awe. Sharing this Feast of Freedom as a family in Messiah was truly unforgettable—and we can’t wait to share some photos with you!

Let this Passover be a reminder: freedom is not a thing of the past. It’s something we walk in every day because of what God has done, and especially through Yeshua, our Messiah.

Wishing you and your family a joyful, meaningful, and spirit-filled Passover.

Many Blessings,

Olivia
